RIDE - REVIEW - RIDE -- Sat., May 4th
Join us at NEECA on Saturday, May 4th for this "first time ever" event. Who is this event good for? LOTS of people. If you've always wanted to ride a dressage test, but found the idea a little intimidating...this is the event for you.
If you're newer to riding and want to get some feedback and tips from an experienced instructor and judge...this event is for you.
If you have a young/green horse that you want to get some low stress mileage on....this event is for you.
FORMAT: You will ride a test that you have selected in advance (see below for tests). You can choose a walk/trot test, or a walk/trot/canter test. (English or Western)
Your first ride will be scored by the judge, who will then review the score with you, and work with you to help improve certain elements of your test.
You will then ride the same test, which will be scored once again by the judge, to see if you were able to improve score.
TIME: Each rider will have an assigned time, and their session will last for about 40 minutes, which includes the first test, review and working with judge, and second test.
COST: $65/NEECA Member, $80/Non-Member

IMPORTANT - THIS EVENT IS NOT A COMPETITION! It is designed to be a non-stress, supportive, learning opportunity for anyone looking to improve their horsemanship.

YOU CAN RIDE IN THIS EVENT IN ENGLISH OR WESTERN DISCIPLINE. THE 2 DIVISIONS WILL BE JUDGED SEPARATELY.

IT IS IMPORTANT FOR PARTICIPANTS TO READ AND FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE TEST THEY CHOOSE TO RIDE BEFORE THE DAY OF THE CLINIC, INCLUDING THE ENTIRE FRONT AND BACK PAGES THAT INCLUDE THE FOLOWING INFORMATION: INSTRUCTION (not on western test), COMMENT (not on western test), REQUIREMENTS, PURPOSE, TEST, DIRECTIVE IDEAS.
